This package installs an update to the Microsoft(R) Windows(R) 98
device driver for the Graphics Blaster RIVA 128ZX video adapter 
that comes preinstalled in your IBM(R) Aptiva(R) computer.  This 
update requires approximately 5 MB of space on your hard disk 
(drive C). 

This update package is intended for IBM Aptiva machine types
2163-xx, and 2164-xx, systems that come with a preinstalled 
Graphics Blaster RIVA 128ZX video adapter. 

Print this file so that you can refer to it during the
installation. 

Downloading the update
----------------------
1. Click the file link to download the file from the Web page.
2. When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save
   the downloaded file.

Installing the update
---------------------
1. Close all open applications.
2. Click Start -> Find -> Files and folders.
3. Type ae1z00us.exe in the search box, then click Find Now.
   This will locate the ae1z00us.exe file you just downloaded.
4. Double-click the icon for ae1z00us.exe.
5. Click Next. You will be presented with the International
   License Agreement for Non-Warranted Programs.
6. Read the License Agreement, then click Next. You will be
   prompted for an Installation Folder. Leave the default
   setting of C:\DRIVERS\AE1Z00US.
7. Click Finish.
8. If you are prompted with "The specified output folder does
   not exist. Create it?", click Yes.
9. If you are prompted with "The following file is already
   installed on your system: C:\DRIVERS\AE1Z00US\BC128ZX.CNT
   Do you wish to overwrite this file?", click Yes to All.
   You will then see the following...

   WARNING: This update is intended to update the video device
   WARNING: drivers for the Graphics Blaster RIVA 128ZX video
   WARNING: adapter that originally shipped with your IBM(R)
   WARNING: Aptiva(R).  Please see the readme.txt included with
   WARNING: this update for further information.
   Press any key to continue . . .

10. Press the spacebar on your keyboard. You will then see the
    following...

    Starting The Update Process
    File not found
    File not found
    ECHO is off
    Once the update process is complete, please reboot your system
    for the changes to take effect.

11. Wait approximately 2 minutes for the update to be installed.
12. Click the X in the upper right-hand corner of the window
    Finished - SETUP. This will close the window.
13. Shut down and restart your computer so that the changes take
    effect.

Testing for successful installation
-----------------------------------
1. Right-click on the My Computer icon.
2. Click Properties.
3. Click the Device Manager tab.
4. Double-click Display adapters.
5. Double-click Graphics Blaster RIVA 128ZX device.
6. Click the Driver tab.
7. Click Driver File Details.
8. Click the path containing the C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\NV3.VXD file.
   If the update was successful, the file version is shown as
   4.10.01.0283.
