BJ Backgrounder and BJ Background Monitor

When using Windows Me, Windows 98 or Windows 95

The BJ Backgrounder and BJ Background Monitor allow you to monitor the progress of print jobs and to pause or cancel printing operations.

Note

It is easy to confirm whether background printing is in progress. Open the printer driver's Properties dialog box, select Page Setup and click Printer Control.

BJ Backgrounder Functions

The BJ Backgrounder displays the current progress of the job being printed. It automatically appears whenever a print job starts and closes when the job finishes.

(1) Displays print job status.

(2) Select to cancel print job.

(3) Select to pause the print job.

BJ Background Monitor Functions

The BJ Background Monitor displays the current progress of the job being printed and a list of information on documents queued for printing. It automatically appears as an icon on the Task Bar whenever a print job starts and can be expanded by clicking the icon on the Task Bar.

(1) To cancel printing, click to highlight the name of the job (either in progress or in the queue) and click Delete on the menu.

(2) Displays the name(s) of the job(s) (either in progress or in the queue).

Note

The BJ Background Monitor can be activated in the two following ways.

Click Start and select Programs, Canon i550 and BJ Background Monitor.

Double-click the BJ Background Monitor icon of the Canon i550 folder on the Windows desktop.
