There does not seem to be a comprehensive listing of all the startup switches for the Novell GroupWise Internet Access gateway (GWIA), so I've attempted to list them all there. Links should open in a companion window. Please let me know of any errors or omissions..

[Top]Additional GWIA switches from TID10010980: GWIA Switches and Advanced Settings Option

[ rt-0 and st-0 appear to be errors in TID 10010980: setting inbound conversion threads to 0 shouldn't restrict outbound capability, nor should restricting outbound conversions threads affect inbound capability. On the other hand, setting rd-0 should set Send Only mode (no Receive threads), and sd-0 should set Receive Only mode (no Send threads) --Bob. ]

[Top] Other GWIA switches

displayfirstlast
Forces the display name format to be "First Name Last Name", regardless of the preferred address format. See TID 10078313: Wrong display name on outbound Internet messages
DontReplaceUnderscore
Use when receiving Undeliverables when replying to a sender that has underscore characters in their email address or when replying to a sender that has the same IDomain name as the GroupWise recipient. This problem has been fixed in at least the 2004-03-09 build of GWIA, but is present again in GW6.5.2 (2004-07-23) and later.
Note, you must use this switch in the gwia.cfg in order for the fix to take place. See TID10094324: Undeliverables when replying to a sender that has underscore characters in their email address.
It may be necessary to remove the switch so email addresses with spaces that get converted to underscores will be able to receive messages returned with underscore.
imip
Enable the GWIA to properly process ical attachments from the internet. Enabled in GW6.5.3. This switch is not supported by Novell; see TID10070007: Does GroupWise GWIA support ICAL?
msstu
Convert spaces to underscores, and underscores to #u#, as well as other character conversions. This conversion did not conform with industry standards so it was dropped with the release of GroupWise 5.5. After updating GWIA to a 5.5 1 level, use the switch /msstu in gwia.cfg file to allow these character conversions. See TID10019477: GWIA not converting space to underscore with GWIA 5.5. Character translations are documented in Character Mapping from GroupWise Addresses to Internet Addresses.
HTTP
xxx
keepsendgroups
assuming 6.5.4 or later. This will tell GWIA to put TO:>distlist@yourdomain.com< in the MIME header instead of expanding every user on the TO: line. (From a message by Morris Blackham on NGWList) See also group
