Of course, he doesn&#8217;t live in Elmira <a href=\"http:\/\/www.canada411.ca\/res\/5197462314\/Herwig-Wandschneider\/140168244.html\" title=\"Canada411.ca - H. Wandscheinder in Waterloo, ON\">but in Waterloo<\/a>, and so doesn&#8217;t have the same concerns about traffic, noise and stink that we do.<\/p>\n<blockquote cite=\"http:\/\/www.echoworld.com\/B09\/B0903\/B0903hw.html\"><p>\nThis is the time to develop and implement useful new technologies that produce new efficiencies, where we need it, and which are at the same time beneficial to the environment.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>No arguments there, except that &#8220;where we need it&#8221; is not in Elmira.<\/p>\n<p>A few inaccuracies:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>[&#8230;] and the end product is an efficient organic fertilizer, which can be sold to surrounding farms.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It was my understanding that the waste digestate no longer has sufficient nutrients to be called &#8220;fertilizer&#8221;, and farmers are unlikely to want it for their fields.<\/p>\n<p>The praise is effusive, and the criticisms non-existent. <q cite=\"http:\/\/www.echoworld.com\/B09\/B0903\/B0903hw.html\">Herwig Wandschneider reports about issues regarding art, performances, dance, business and professional events<\/q> but does not appear to write much about local concerns such as traffic, noise and stink.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;Bob.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Herwig Wandschneider writes a glowing column in Echo Germanica about the proposed Elmira Biogas plant.
