  1. Get your Linux distro, eg. Linux Mint Debian Edition from http://www.linuxmint.com/download_lmde.php §120
  2. Install the distro on a USB drive.
  3. Insert the USB drive, boot the computer.
  4. Unmount any partitions on the hard drive. §190
  5. Run the GParted program. §180
  6. Resize the Windows partition. §210
  7. Apply GParted changes. §220
  8. Create extended partition. §250
  9. Create root partition. §270
  10. Create swap partition. §280
  11. Create home partition. §290
  12. Apply GParted changes. §300
  13. Run the Ubiquity installer. §340
