Hi everyone! Just a last-minute reminder of tonight's KW Non-Profit SysAdmin meeting about Scripting Languages.

I heard a good phrase last week: "Let the robots eat your job."

It was in reference to automating the tasks of a SysAdmin. A good SysAdmin will automate as much as possible to minimize the chances of making mistakes in the dull, repetitive tasks that need to be done.

Today's meeting is about automating repetitive tasks with scripting languages. During our round-table discussion you'll have the opportunity to show off your favourite scripts. Bring along a laptop, or surf your online code repository.

Tonight's meeting will again be at the Conrad Grebel University College:

Where: Room 1301, Conrad Grebel University College (bottom floor, in the hallway that connects the main building to the Chapel-Residence building)

Paid parking is in the lot just east of the building; free parking doesn't start until 7:30pm. Nearest buses seem to be routes 7 and 9 stopping at the UW Environment 3 building, or Route 29 stopping at University and Westmount.
