– food waste contained inside the building, used up daily.
– smell not as bad as expected.
– pit holds a couple truck loads, processed same day. - Elmira site preparation in the works – installation of services, sewer, water.
- Submitted draft “Contingency Plan for Odours, Spills, Fires, Power Failures and Labour Disruptions” to MOE for approval.
Contingency Plan is for onsite facility emergencies. - Request made to MOE for an amendment to the REA to change from oil to dry type transformer and;
remove requirement for minimum flare temperature of 850 degree C and only monitor temperature.
CLC member comment: % of odor elimination is time, and temperature.
No benefit for neighbors if it is a dry transformer.
Because it is a Renewable Energy Facility Woolwich Bio-en needs secondary containment for oil filled transformer. - Changes made in wording to Terms of Reference.
– chairperson changed to a 12 month term.
– membership term, half the positions can be designated as one year from November 21,2012 when committee was formed. Woolwich will circulate request who wants 1 or 2 rear term. From then on positions will be two year terms.
– secretary appointed.
– quorum meeting – business can be called at any dully called meeting by members.
– Dully called meeting (meaning) all members have been notified or regular called meeting. - Copy of the REA approval is on the Bio-en Power Inc. website, look under site projects.
